V2G, V2X and V2H — the next energy revolution

Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) technology allows EVs to act as mobile batteries. Soon, Australians will be able to charge during off-peak, then power their homes or export energy back to the grid for financial and resilience benefits. We track these innovations closely to bring them to our customers when regulations and vehicles allow.

EV Charger FAQs

What’s the difference between single-phase and three-phase charging?
Single-phase charging is sufficient for most homes and delivers ~7 kW. Three-phase can deliver up to 22 kW, significantly reducing charge times, but requires a three-phase supply.
Can I upgrade my home to three-phase?
Yes. Upgrading allows faster EV charging, larger solar arrays and better appliance balancing. We handle the application with your network provider.
Do EV chargers work with solar and batteries?
Yes. GoodWe, Sungrow and Fronius chargers can be programmed to charge from excess solar or during off-peak rates, maximising savings.
Do you install public chargers?
Yes. We offer Sungrow DC fast chargers and commercial solutions, including billing integration for income generation.
What is V2G and how does it work?
V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) allows an EV to export energy back to the grid or home. This can reduce bills, support the grid and provide backup. Availability depends on car models and regulatory approvals.
